“Abercrombie” was a scandalous word in my childhood home. My religious parents were (understandably, for them) miffed by the company’s racy ads, and I remember many a youth group meeting that focused on the evils of the brand. For me, walking past the store as a middle schooler was like a glimpse into the preppy gates of Hades. But with age and the Internet, such things become less shocking and more entertaining. Funny, even. Looking at these silly photos from old A&F catalogs, I find myself laughing at things that would have made me gasp ten years ago. Check them out and have a chuckle yourself!
